UPDATE 12/1/12: Nevermind this is for another episode. Got a new idea for episode 6!

ANIMATION TEST _ Feedback Welcomed!

Comments

I remember watching the last episode when it came out. If you'd like me to do voice work, I'd actually be more than happy to.

I think your animation has improved, but I don't have any legitimately constructive advice on it. There's something about your art style that I don't love, that it might be slightly off-putting or potentially generic, but I also see that it's improved along with your animation, so I'm reluctant to advise you to change anything and I would just say keep at it since you are improving over time.

At most, I'd say don't be afraid to play with stylization off to the side in your free time and see if in your experimenting, you come up with something you like which you feel is... excitingly different.

Anyway I personally LIKE what I see, so don't mistake my attempt to be constructive for dislike. Keep it up!

I get what your saying. I would go for a certain style but I would need like a whole animation team. These take long enough as it is and this way of drawing is the quickest way without it being like stick people :p

And yeah definetly, this episode is going to have alot of characters, I need all the voice actors I can get. Thanks for the help :)))

Wow this is great.. :)

Thank you :)

This was impressive work, any animation that has action more than words has my undivided attention
If you need a voice actor i'll definitly give you a hand.

I'm not familiar with this genre but you use an interesting system in how you animate, because i would usually just animate the whole body, its quicker and it serves less problems...
However with your system, it seems to be divided in components which i think is the harder way into animating characters...I can only assume the to characters are also understand same system,
If so, it probably explains why the girls head looks either too small or her torso is too big...
But considering animation is all about trial and error i wouldn't worry about it that much...
Heh And if Sirundead is going to be in this then i know i have to voice act with this buddy,
He's a very talented Voice actor you can take my word for it.

Thanks! Be happy to get you a spot.

The way I animate bascially is I draw the body then add premade heads on to it. It can feel unnatural in a way though. I actually find it easyer not harder lol Keeps my characters consistant. Yeah the sizes are off, I didn't notice this until it was brought up, luckily I'm not to far in and can fix this early on. Thanks again :))

Cushioning and resizing. Resizing is going to be pretty damn hard to avoid with your detailed character models but cushioning is quite simple, especially with the solid work you've done already. Ease in and out of motion, arm movements etc.

You know after you guys mentioned this I really started to notice the head sizes are a little off lol The resizing actually doesn't take as long as you think but I really need to do it.

It could use some cushioning as well. Thanks for the tips!

hopefully I can return if my character is still alive! (got a swanky new mic)

Nice. Hah he is but I've used him to much. Hes going to sit out a couple episodes :p
